ATV’s will be all over San Juan County this weekend as the annual San Juan ATV Safari is back.
Rides throughout all of San Juan County will give visitors and locals alike an opportunity to enjoy great views in perfect weather.
The 23rd annual safari starts on Wednesday September 17 concluding on Saturday, September 20.
Wednesday kicks off the event with a ride from Monticello and Blanding to meet up for dinner at a mid-point on the Blue Mountains.
Riders will leave from the Blanding Visitor Center at 5:00 pm with the other riders will leave from the Monticello Visitor Center at 5:30 to meet up for dinner at 6:30 pm. Its recommended riders bring warm clothes for the ride home.
Safari participants will be able to sign up between 18 rides over the three days showcasing the landscape from low country canyons to high mountains.
Trails range from “easy” ratings to “expert/difficult” to let riders choose the best event for them. All rides will be guided by experienced riders familiar with the trails.
Trails originate from both Blanding and Monticello at 8:00 am and will return to their origin town each day.
Following full-day rides on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the event concludes with the annual Safari Banquet at the San Juan Wellness Center in Blanding.
