Bagging Support: Clark’s Market Gives Big to San Juan County 4-H

Utah State University Extension’s San Juan County 4-H program recently received a $8,996.16 donation from Clark’s Market, through the store’s Non-Profit Monday Program. The donation will directly support youth development programs in the county.
The opportunity came about when a San Juan County commissioner reached out to the 4-H office with news that Clark’s Market was seeking a new beneficiary for its upcoming fundraiser.
With quick coordination, Kristin Black, the San Juan County 4-H Extension coordinator, met with store manager Craig Stanley to explore the opportunity.
Stanley, who has deep ties to the community and even worked alongside Black during her youth at Clark’s Market, was enthusiastic about the partnership.
From April 28 through May 26, Clark’s Market donated five percent of each customer’s total purchase made on Mondays to support San Juan County 4-H.
The $8,996.16 raised will help fund a wide range of programs that provide hands-on learning opportunities for youth, including small and large livestock projects, Teen Council, LEGO robotics clubs, drone club, and summer 4-H community activities.
“This donation came at the perfect time, and we feel incredibly lucky to be the recipients,” said Black.
Those in the 4-H program are grateful to Clark’s Market and the community for their support. The funds will make a substantial difference for the local San Juan County youth.
Clark’s Market’s Non-Profit Monday Program is just one example of how the store gives back to the community it serves.
San Juan County 4-H is proud to be one of the beneficiaries of their commitment to making a difference.
